What did i break now!!

Ok it was another one of those days. So i was removing my amp gauge from the panel and the spanner touched an earth point on the gauge (i guess). Big sparks followed along with lots of heat and the spanner was practically welded to the guage . Yes i know i should have first disconnected the battery before touching.

Anyhow once i finished what i set out to do, i tried to switch everything on again. Nothing happened. I then went through all my fuses but nothing blown. Iget absolutely no electrical power to any of the instruemtns etc.

So my question, what did i blow up!!

Could be a lot of things.
If you have the wrong fuse/s then copper inside the plastic insulation could melt off and leave the insulation intact, looking as if the wire is ok. Test your power supply wire/s for continuity.
Test your fuses with a multimeter....don't rely on a visual check
If your Amp Meter is "in line" with the supply wire to the other stuff, then test your Amp Meter for continuity. Could be fried internally

So finally had some time to do fault finding on the electrics. Took one of my electricians out there and we slowly sifted through the wires looking for the fault. Low and behold we eventually found it. Seems that when i shorted the system the current went and burnt 2 wires right off the molex connection . So that's why i was not getting any power supply.

The makulu fuses that i have are too makulu (30amp) and they never blew, so those have to be changed as well to 20amp.

Now everything is fixed and im and can now go fly.
