What Oils are you using?

Hello everyone

A bit of info about myself:

Im a Cape Town boy and Im currently 18 years old. I am extremely passionate about cars and have been called a VAG slag in the past. I love photography, car journalism (I try), detailing and being helpful.

I am also the manager for Liqui Moly in the Western Cape. I work for a company called SOS Oil which has been around for 18 years. We stock a variety of products and stock the Liqui Moly brand.

This may interest you as we stock both a TC - W3 Outboard Engine Oil (Mineral based) and a Synthetic Oil which you can use in your planes.

Please understand I am not here to sell you a product. I am researching on behalf of a client of mine who supplies Comms to the microlight community and is considering stocking these Oils.

My question here is:

- What oils are you guys currently using?
- What quantities
- At what price?

I think I may be able to supply you all with a Fully Synthetic oil at a much cheaper price then other brands such as Quicksilver etc.

If it is viable and you guys are interested in this oil then I will gladly import it from Germany. I admit I dont know much about microlights so please be gentle

Hopefully I may be of some use in the near future.

Mike

Hi Mike, I use a 4 stroke motor bike oil in a Rotax 914, cost is about R375 to R450 depends on make.

The 91 series engines have an integrated gearbox hence the preference for a bike oil.

Good Morning Weedy

Thank you for your reply and my apologies for taking so long to respond.

I assume that price is per Litre?

If so then I may have a oil which is the same spec but half the price 8)

Any other guys or gals here who want to share their preference on oils?

Mike
