Rotax 912/914 TBO times

Postby Aviation Engines » Fri Jan 11, 2008 4:59 pm

I've been contacted about this matter - someone on the forum has mentioned/indicated/stated that Rotax 912/914 engines have a 5 year overhaul requirement, this is completely incorrect.

It is possible that the overhaul of 5 years has been confused with the replacement of rubber components, which is 5 years.

I have a table available detailing the TBO requirements for engine models and serial number ranges.

Please send an e-mail to tech@aviation-engines.co.za with the following in the subject field: 912/914 TBO Requirements

and we will reply with the table attached.

I have tried scanning it and just cannot get the file size below the required 100kb.

Thanks Niren,

I was one of the "confused" people

Sorry for spreading the confusion.

The TBO table can be found here: http://www.rotaxservice.com/rotax_tips/rotax_TBO.htm

Fly safe,
Rudi

Always happy to assist.
I would also like to take the opportunity to ask everyone to register on www.rotax-owner.com to receive automatic updates of service documents.

The site is a joint venture of the americans and canadians nd has proven to be most informative.
