Fuel flow meter

Postby Mc Guyver » Sun May 27, 2007 2:01 am

I have a Skydat as standard equipment fitted to my Airborne XT912
The accumulated fuel flow gives a shortfall of around 14%
This shows excellent fuel consumption instrument wise but would leave you looking for a safe landing spot if going on instruments alone.
No operators manual is supplied with the trike but I am sure there must be a way of callibrating the Skydat:?:

On the inlet of the unit that measures the actual flow of the fuel there is a jet that has to be pushed in ALL the way till it seats. Otherwise it will give bad readings. Perhaps try that?

If it looks like the attached pic it is an MGL product.

You will have to calibrate the gauge to the correct factor
