Hi Guys,
There are a bunch of guys on the forum with loads more experience than I could ever dream of, so here goes.........
What are the differences between the Rotax 447 and 503 SI? Are there parts which are/could be interchangeable? The termination of production of the 503 SI has lead to a scarcity of parts and I was wondering if buying up a 447 as a source of parts for a 503 SI is a viable proposition or not.
I look for to your input with interst.
Best regards,
Al

Re: 447 vs 503 SI
Two completely different engines
Looks like the carbs, electricals etc are common (stator coil unit 996849 on both)
I can email you the illustrated component catalog and you can have a more detailed look. It is almost 10MB of document so make sure your mailbox allows large documents
