Wanted

Hi All

Well have been in S.A almost a week and seem to be settling in quite well. I have been reading with interest in the last few weeks about the debate on oil types and there uses. I moved to S.A to head up a new oils testing lab and diagnostic team. I make this offer to any fellow forum members, I need approximately 20 - 30 used oil samples from wotever equipment you choose, cars, trucks, industrial equipment, fixed and mobile plant etc. I can also do aircraft samples but am unable to provide a certified diagnosis on aircraft samples as we are not aviation certified/accredited. These samples will help us validate and calibrate our final setups. Also if you have new oils that you wish to test to see what your actually getting for your money then I am more than willing to test those as well. There will be no costs involved for the testing the only catch I need the samples delivered to me or I can probably collect them from in/around the immediate Edenvale area.
If anybody is interested then PM me and and I let you know my contact details.

Cheers
Darren

Hi OzGyro

An oil worth testing is "Habot".

I used their 2 stroke oil in a rotax 503 for a while and the idling went to 4ooo rpm and the acceleration was a lot better as well. It was hard to immagine
this different oil can have such a major influence. Since then I have used it in my car and truck, fuel consumtion improved and preformance.

The compony is in Krugersdorp, I will have some samples soon. They claim you can change oil at 60 000 km intervals with their products. Not sure about diesel engins.

Fly safe

A good 2stroke oil to check will be Shell Nautilus and or Engen super outboard - Both are low ash (tcw3 )
we use both in 582 s in our school - before the 300hr I did 1600 hours on a 582 engine with little wear - plugs last well into 100 hrs
Lets know what you find Leprachaun
