Thanks Batman vhpy

I get nervous once I can't see my beloved Magalies anymore - So, in fairness I am the Chairman of the Patchflyers association

So - Who else is a patch flyer? Common guys, be honest

Say it out load - I am Big D, I am a Patch flyer and proud of it

Maybe one day I will throw caution to the wind, actually switch on my GPS (I just have it cause it looks cool) and go the distance

If I had the time available my patch would stretch from the Zambesi south to the Ocean.

Presently only flying the cabbagepatch, but getting very itchy when looking at a map.

Dave Daniels new endeavour is right up my alley.

My patch has been drastically reduced to a small patch of office wall where my Microlighters calender hangs.

Not laughing at the newbie at all mate ....

The Patch is the cabbage patch (circuits) that surround your airfield with which you will become VERY familiar when you do hours and hours of circuits and bumps or touch and go's .... one gets to know their own patch and some okes just dont like venturing to far from it.... some (like demon and his formation) love flying all over the place, some just enjoy flying around near where they are.. some to be honest have NO REASON to venture to far because theyre surrounded by beautiful scenary where they fly from....

Not a criticism at all... to quote thatch - doesnt matter where you fly just so long as your in the air....

This isnt avcom - here we dont mock new okes.. we weclome them..

Thanks. I thought it may be the circuit, but wasn't sure vhpy .

All the guys here have been very friendly so far, I have to admit that I learn quite a lot reading the posts on the forum.

Make no mistake - You would have to go a long long way to find a better bunch of highly highly experienced pilots than there are on this forum. The guys have 100's of thousands of hours of expeience and skill. Personally, I want to know something, I come here first and I am seldom left in doubt..

I have heard that some of these okes can actually drink the odd beer too, but thas just a rumour...

fly safe

Patch Flyers

Postby Carel » Thu Feb 28, 2008 3:34 pm

What about a "Patch Flyer" badge to distinguish us from every day normal flyers?
