Microlight Greeetings

Postby Robin Hood » Wed Jan 16, 2008 7:30 pm

Just wondering. Took my Aquilla down to Solowings for a good 'going-oer' Dave Jackson was there and I was just wondering- I remember his remarks about all the help he got from fellow microlighters at Bethlehem and I think it was Kimberley. He was so impresed with the spontaneous friendliness he encountered. And I could not even get a greeting? Looked the man in the eye and said Hi and allI got was an ignore. Surley would not have hurt to say Hi? Hurt me a bit being ignored.

Maybe because you got the wrong Dave. It was Lamercyfly, aka Dave Daniels who did that trip not Dave Jackson. No wonder he gave you strange looks

I find fellow microlighters to generally be great guys.

Even the okes who I initially thought were "poephols" turned out to be nice guys once I got to know them.

Don't come to FAAP when the wind is blowing from the South - Darkhelmet and I are not friendly on those days either, but it is nothing personal

Of course we are friendly okes here in Kimberley, Prieska, Postmasburg, Vryburg, Kuruman...... It is a tendency for us to always look for an opportunity to drink a few and have a braai.....

Simple solutuion for power shedding.... Now we can seriously start braaing again!

I took our microlight down to Solowings quiet a few times last year and every time I was there I found Dave to be a very freindly person and always willing to help and give me advise concerning the microlight. I think that you might just have court him at a bad time. Remember we all do have off days.
