There was a guy at Rhino park with small cameras on his trikes wing with a recorder inside. How is the quality of these videos , where can I find more info on it?

One of our instructors did it here. Great footage, but the "fish eye" makes me a bit dizzy when watching on screen.

Have a look at Regal Security. I have always found their prices excellent. They do a whole bunch of "Surveillance" gear. When my Sonex finally gets built, it will definately have a bullet camera mounted in the vert-stab, just like the A-380!

I am experimenting at the moment using a Colour Bullet Camera HTC-72A which I am able to connect to my Panasonic NV-GS15 DV digital video camera.
I fly an Aero Trike Spirit 11 and have just run cables to five points on my Trike using a (homemade) switch box which will be connected to the camera allowing me to switch between the differant views.
I will only be using two B/Cameras which I will move around to find the best view's.
I have done two flights with the B/cam strapped to the pylon facing the rear (great view through the prop) and attatched next to the right rear wheel facing the front. (Interesting take-off and landing views).
The quality is very good but will never beat a high quality camera. I am happy with the results.
Another interesting point is that we have been able to connect the intercom to the camera and am able to record all the com's.

Wing Tip Camera's are the way to go. I just experimented putting one on my wing tip (last time it was on the cross bar).

These are are available from http://www.sports-camera.com/helmet_cameras.htm , the packages come with all you need including an optional for a 10 meter extention cable and are powered from the trike or Camera, we powered ours from the trike cigarette lighter plug option during the filming of "flying the fish" , decent quality as they are standard PAL resolution with 520 TV lines a not 380 like some of the security type pencil camera's that are available ...

However I found the results from the wide angle lense option to be poor as it distorts and bends the image ...even though slightly...
