Hi there Guys,
Surely there are plenty of you who are sick & tired of the same old same old.
Yet there is very little about 1day, 2 day and longer trips around the groot G.
How about some discussions/ forums etc about trips, equipment, types of buds to fly with, who not to fly with etc, etc.
After all, this is what attracts people to the sport in the first place
Wadda U guys Say?!!!!!!!

Dragon Peaks is a great adventure for a long weekend from JHB. A bunch of us have done it the past 2 years and had great fun.

Dont fly away with GERT hey.. more than 1 day and hell have you in tears, he yacks so much.. but on the positive side for those long treks, I hear he's going to get the latest in Glass panel installed on his Trike... a 52" plasma display hooked up to his GPS and radio links to all the other erries so he can keep track of everyones progress thru the air.. in realtime
ok -seriously this is a good idea
I saw a piece of the Annual Kenya Car show held in Nairobi on TV this morning, and there are a couple of locals flying Gyros, etc there - now wouldnt that be a great annual event - and it seems that that event is growing in leaps and bounds attracting people from all over the world
Funnily enough I got a mail shot from some dude claiming the Marco Polo Ralye was on again - anyone else seen that one
and GERT.. keep up the great contrubutions dude , wouldnt be the same without you

Yes, my BM looks terrible after I have been to the field, now my wife says I must get a Landrover - the truck version! I was thinking of moving somewhere else, but after yesterday's experience at Morningstar I can see why the field is mostly deserted on windy days. At least at FAWV I can fly when it is windy - keeping the little hill's turbulence in mind.

And what GPS are you using to get those nice lines and stuff? With the yellow? I have a GPS 12 and using Mapsource to show my tracks... is there a setting?
