RAASA and my ATF..........

Postby Jean Crous » Tue Jul 08, 2014 6:36 pm

Very happy with the quick and prompt service, I stay on the other side of the country to them, and it took from Thursday last week to today to get it issued. Ok I had to pay R138 to get it to me because of the Post Office strike, BUT consider this , go to the corner Cafe for a couple of things and you spend that much.

With this paper I can fly for a whole year (^^) (^^) Better value than the corner Cafe

Is this another post office strike, or is it the same one just going on for ever? I have given up trying to think of an appropriate name for these oxygen thieves.

Good to hear Jean....lekker vlieg! (^^)

I have always sympathised with pilots who are not based in Gauteng when it comes to the annual paperwork trail. I still believe that there is a better way to accommodate pilots from outlying areas using some sort of e mail system and the AP's who are tasked with the inspections. If the Authorities place the responsibility of making sure your aircraft is safe to fly in these Authorised Persons....then why can they not also verify the paperwork?

They can scan copies..... email to RAASA....and your certified copy of ATF can be emailed back to you in under 2 hours!......Then at their leisure....they can post/courier the original to you?

Even if this cost you an extra R200....it would be worth it I'd say, and would greatly assist those who are beyond driving distance.

Make a plan RAASA....your service is impressive, but this would be a great addition to improve it even further. :)
