Glass Reinforced Plastics Composite Course 21/22 June 2014

Course details & requirements.
1. The 2 day course starts at our facility at 10am sharp on Saturday the 21st of June and should end at +- 16h:00.
2. The second day 22ND June will start at 09:00 sharp and complete at +- 16h:00.
3. The cost per person attending is R 750.00 per day. This is payable in advance. Refreshments & lunch will be provided.
4. Persons attending will need to apply to attend the course by the latest the 11th of June 2014 on a first come first serve basis as we are limited to a total of 8 persons per course.
5. Please r.s.v.p. via our e-mail address memories@lantic.net.
6. On confirmation of the availability of attendance, banking details will be provided for full payment of the course dates. Once payment is received we will confirm the course as booked via return e-mail.
7. The funds paid will be non-refundable should the candidate fail to arrive for the course.
8. Cancellations received well in advance of the course dates are negotiable.
9. Repair manuals and all materials used will be supplied at the course by Mark’s Sailplane Repairs. A certificate of attendance & course completion will be presented at the end of the course.

Day 1 (21st June 2014 Saturday) STARTS AT 10:00 sharp.
1. Introduction & Materials used in G.R.P/Composite work.
2. Primary references & Technical terms.
3. Tools & personal safety equipment required.
4. Quality control & record keeping forms to be used.
5. Refreshment break 10 minutes. Tea / Coffee & cold drinks
6. Work area requirements & preparation before starting work.
7. Hand lay-up procedures demonstration & participation.
8. Lunch break 30 minutes. Meal & refreshments supplied.
9. Repairing structures using Polyester & epoxy resin systems. Included a vacuum bag repair demonstration.

Day 2 (22nd June 2014 Sunday) STARTS AT 09:00 sharp.
1. Introduction to day 2, checking repairs & work done.
2. Evaluating the work completed.
3. Procedure for rectifying errors in work completed.
4. Refreshment break 10 minutes. Tea / Coffee e.c.t
5. Vacuum bagging & procedures demonstration.
6. Lunch break 30 minutes. Meal & refreshments supplied.
7. Preparation of work prior to finishing & painting.
8. Exterior finish, Paint technology & terms.
9. Demonstration of application of paint systems.
10. Completion of course, exam & issue of certificates.

Repair manual and all materials used will be supplied at the course by Mark’s Sailplane Repairs.
A certificate of attendance & course completion will be presented at the end of the course.

Is this certificate of attendance and course completed worth anything?
