I have been waiting for this!

I fly an Aquilla 1 wing, will definitely purchase a set if available for this wing. How do I manage the paperwork to legalise the modification?

Hi Jenya, looks great.
Do we have to file a mod report?
How easily do they come off when you want to fold up the wing?
Are there any negative effects?

As I have been told by RAASA: For minor changes like this you do not need to go for modification process.
You have to submit your changes into aircraft logbook,
let it check and signed by AP person and send writing notification to RAASA about your changes.
Easy.
Major changes are the wing or engine replacement, the rest are minors.

not a modification process with CAA. Just notification of RAASA about your changes.
it is very easy and quick to put winglets on and take them off. You have to pull 2 pins out for each winglet and it's done.
Negative: you have to spend some money and a bit of time to install them:-)

Hi Jenya
Will the winglets fit on a stream 16.2 wing also?
Thanks

These look really good Jenya!
Two questions:
1. Were they developed locally? (by you, I am assuming so)
2. Besides an increase in airspeed, what can one expect in terms of any changes to flying characteristics of your wing/aircraft with the winglets fitted?
Many thanks,
John

I am sure they will fit.
We have not installed them on the Stream,
But have done it for Stranger, they work perfect!
Another way:
Aeros - Stream/Stranger manufacturer designed winglets for specially for Stream.
They fit inside the sail on the Velcro.
They looks very nice, but for my opinion they are a bit small and do not work as good as others.
We use to put those winglets many years ago for Mike Blyth wing for his flight South-To-South, but we hardly see the difference.
