Hello all

I am based out of Petit with a BushCat and I am not flying as much as I would Like. I am looking for locations within a reasonable distance of JHB for Saturday/Sunday morning flights to with a bit of atmosphere.
I know there Is Zebula, does anyone know any more?
Maybe we could create a list and slowly start ticking off each destination? Anyone keen to join me?

The Ranch Motel between Potties and Pietersburg is also a nice place to land for breakfast.

Hi Byron
You can also try Kokoriba, Holiday resort with restaurant, 700m runway, Microlight friendly. Try their Pilots Breakfast. Very popular. (^^) (^^)

Stay clear or high of the Eastern side of the runway, Game farm with Buffalo end owner do not like low flying over his game. Do circuits on Western side.

You'll find the attitude at the coves have changed quite a bit with the increase in aviators at the estate.
But it still is a private / unlissenced strip in terms of insurance, and there is NO facilties - food, loo etc.

Hope to be able to change that in future too.

Fly safe, fly high.

Hello guys and girls

I am planning on heading to Parys for breakfast tomorrow along with a crowd I believe. I will be planning on leaving Petit at 7 to meet at springs before heading through to Parys.

If any one is keen on joining in and meeting at Parys at 0830 for breakfast it would be nice to meet you all.

PS let's hope the weather holds out.

Byron

Yep weather will always hold back your plans, and there only ever seems to be bad weather once you have planned a nice trip :? :? :? :|
