I have been asked to produce an electronic mag for the event that details the events of the day, the aircraft entered, the prizes, the vendor's products from catering to aviation accessories etc. After the event there will be a printed mag distributed to all.

So if you are going to be there - buying, selling, chatting, dancing, singing and more - let me know and be in the electronic mag. The electronic mag will be posted by Tuesday on the MISASA website and it will grow as content arrives. It will also be printed for display on the official noticeboard at Tedderfield.

What about a Microlighters Tent - some bring chairs, some cooler boxes, some water melons, some belly dancers in flight suits etc ?

What about the flight schools having a table -> ?

What about ideas for prizes ? So far I have flight training manuals, a R3,500 helmet, a in your pocket tracker and more. Bring your best photos - there will be a notice board and prize for the best photo.

Please send your content to nemo@webo.co.za

What about the electronic mag listing who is to fly in from where?

Please do also let me know what you want information on.

It's your day - take ownership of a patch - make it yours and share what you have to say!

Fly safe

Hello Stefan,

Let's try this. Please do send me:

- A write up on the planes that you will be entering. These can be past adverts, brochures and or pictures.
- The cost, at the entered spec of each plane in the "Ready to Fly" category entered, to be incurred by a buyer to obtain an ATF. If costs are to be incurred before you get an ATF in your hand then it is to be included.
- Kit Planes are a different category and are to be costed to include all that is needed to get an ATF. I expect a variety of entries - each plane can be entered more than once but at a different spec - Each category is per R100,000 from Zero.
- The details of any contact info eg name and cell phone numbers of designated representatives at the event for each plane.
- If you are going to offer any demo flights.
- If you are offering any prizes - what the prize criteria are and pictures etc of the prize.

Also:
If you are to display any aircraft accessories etc - details - adverts - pictures of these.

There is no cost of entry.

The above will be added to an electronic mag to be posted on a notice board at the shootout and which will be available on the MISASA website.

After the event we will publish a printed magazine.

Please send your info re the entry to: nemo@webo.co.za

Regards
Alan

Runway Length : 600 x 8 m Asphalt
Elevation : 5 200ft
Freq : 125.6 Mhz

Fun day start time : Saturday 9 February 2013 @ 0700 >>

Pilots Briefing & Time : Saturday 9th February 2013 @ 09h00 sharp and of extreme importance to attend!!

Please note the following : Listen Listen Listen to the ATC's instruction. If you do not understand, say so!

KEEP A GOOD LOOKOUT - EYES OUTSIDE THE COCKPIT - THE CIRCUIT IS GOING TO BE BUSY!!!!
PLEASE FOLLOW THE GROUND MARSHALL TO WHERE HE SHOWS YOU TO PARK!!!
NO STARTUPS WILL BE ALLOWED ON GROUND WITHOUT GROUND APPROVAL!!!!

HOW TO FLY THE CIRCUIT AT TEDDERFIELD AIRPARK

• APPROACHING THE CIRCUIT
When approaching the airfield and you want to join the circuit, call your position and request joining instructions from at least five miles out at 6 500 ft
at the current QNH. Then initiate a descent to the point where you will join the circuit so as to end up at 6200 ft.
ATC will advise change to circuit and ground frequency 120.2 MHz

• APPROACH FROM THE NORTH
The approach from the North is from the North Western side of the airfield, not directly over Hippo Quarries.
The approach is shown on our map by the green line which would allow you to either join on a left hand base for runway 11 or a right hand downwind for runway 29.

When approaching from the West, aim to be about one or two miles north of our downwind leg, which is directly above the R554.
The approach is shown on our map by the orange line and allows you to either join on a left hand base for runway 11 or a right hand downwind for runway 29.

When approaching from the East, aim to be one or two miles north of our downwind leg, which is directly above the R554.
The approach is shown on our map by the purple line and allows you to join either a right hand base for runway 29 or a left hand downwind leg for runway 11.

When approaching from the South, maintain 6500 ft and fly directly over the clubhouse and then descend to 6200 ft to join either a left downwind leg for runway 11 or a right downwind leg for runway 29. The approach is shown by the light blue line on our map

Should you be returning from a cross country and you are not able to determine wind direction from smoke in the area or from the use of your GPS or because there is no activity at the airfield, then revert to the standard joining procedure and call at about 5 miles out that you will be joining overhead at 6500 ft. Once overhead, you will be able to decide which runway to use and will fly towards the downwind leg, which is directly over the R554, aiming to arrive on downwind at 6200 ft and complete the circuit in the normal manner. When this is the case, you may over fly the threshold on runway 11 when approaching from the West or the threshold on runway 29 when approaching from the East, but always at 6500 ft

Directions to Tedderfield (By road chaps! )

From Pretoria (I don’t know where "Tshwane" is ^ ), take the N1 South towards Joburg, go through Midrand and take the M1 at Bechluch Interchange. Stay on the M1 straight through Johanesburg, it eventually becomes the Vereeniging Road (R82). Keep travelling south till you pass Main road on the left and then the Lido Hotel also on the left. Go past the next intersection (R554) and in approx 1.3km turn right onto the R550. Carry on with the R550 until you see the entrance gate to Tedderfield about 2.3km on the Left.

See you there. (!!)
