I think it would be possible, if you can carry the fuel for 3h20 you need to average around 47mph to do it.

Nothing wrong with that, 156miles. Say no tail wind at 45mph will do it in 3 hour 27 min. The trike guys fly down to Sodwana. Group going to Numbi now I believe.
I have done 173 miles in a morning with my x-air at 50/55mph.
Microlighters have large bladders, they can sit it out!

Just point the nose and keep on going!

Could have had multi stops along the way amongst tail winds. I'm not pedantric about log books as long as the hobb hours are current.

Depends on wind. In an Aquilla 582: Eagle Flight (north of Christiana) to Betlehem - 210 miles in 2hours 30 minutes. Leg stretch on Welkom included.
Microland / Standerton (75 miles): fastest time - 55 minutes. Slowest time - 2hours 20 minutes. (Aquilla)
Earlier this year in the Cobra, Microland to Standerton with one hell of a tailwind - 38 minutes. Avg. groundspeed of 120 mph. With one HELL of a landing...
Depends on the wind!

MicroMed... on Sep 1st I was at ML but decided not to fly. Peter took off in his Aquilla for a quick jaunt round the Babsfontein tower and back. (Normally this takes about 15min)
When he got back he said. "Hey guys, I had such a lekker flight there...but when I turned around...someone had moved Microland!"
KWV welcome to the world of triking

Now you know why the blikdrivers always say us trikers cant take our eyes off the windsock

Cape Town to Carnarvon via Tanqua and Williston in one day with an Aquilla 503. 8.5 hours flying with two fuel stops. Took off at first light and landed at last light. It was a loooong trip.
