Okay, well out with it - I am lurking in the shadows because I am TERRIBLY embarrased about the fact that I let my Authority to Fly for ZU-AXC expire.

The real life made off with my short and curlies and I never got around to renewing it. I got my pilot license in May last year and was under the impression the aerie was due at the same time. I forgot I bought my baby in Feb 2005 and was rushing to get the paperwork sorted... Thus my wings are clipped and I am not able to legally fly.

Check your ATF and make a diary entry to renew the bugger at least in time so you can keep on flying!

If something happens and you or your aerie are not legal your loved ones get NO benefit of everything that you have planned for such unforeseen events!

Naughty naughty, fortunately you can walk it through the system.

I just did mine, Sent the papers to my daughter, Took her an hour max at CAA and she faxed me the certificate. The original followed later in the post but at least I could fly.

Certified copies of the last 3 pages of the log book once the AP has stamped it, the relevant CAA docs and R100 paid into their account. They don't charge VAT

We have 6 aircraft on the school, and on the board in the office I had a list of when all the ATFs expire.

Still managed to ignore the one expiry date until about a month afterwards

As we do regular inspections on the planes, the inspections were not behind, but the paperwork certainly was
