I work between the two bits of land, have been to the Mainair factory, UK Microlight show and considered one. I even arranged a test flight out of Barton (Manchester) but Mud Islands weather didnt play game.
Make sure that you dont buy the UK spec...as they have European noise abatement probs (hacking the ends off the prop !!)...buy the Warp drive prop local with the 100hp Ratex. It climbs at 2000ft per minute !! Disc brakes are a good option..
Have you looked at the French or Aussie kit ??? Airborne edge or Air Creation...
I will be in mud island in two weeks time if you need any detail, and close to Manchester and Liverpool.
