The cosmos is not a problematic plant, as it is not an alien invader plant. All it does is look pretty at a certain part of the year. Jacarandas are a problem in the lowveld, but not on the highveld. Therefore it would be daft wanting to destroy them on the Highveld. Obviously the very bad alien invader plant in the Lowveld is the lantana.Pitty they not indeginous - next thing you know the will be wanting people to destroy them like the Jacaranda trees, willow trees etc
