There is nothing on the RAASA Noticeboard....

PART 62 - NATIONAL PILOT LICENSE INSTRUCTORS WORKSHOP 2011

The 1st Seminar and Workshop for Part 62 (National Pilot Licence) Instructors will be taking place on 26 March 2011 at 09:00 at the RAASA offices, Rand Airport.

Topics under discussion will include:

* Administrative Functions required of Schools and Instructors
* Training stats and Pilot re-training and retention
* SMS (Safety Management System)
* Application Process for pilots and instructors
* Syllabus and Exercises - Renumbering
* Regulatory Licence Requirements

John Raasa sent out notices to flight schools 2 weeks ago and I registered then allready. I know about the instructor seminar but have seen no documents about an AP seminar??

No there isn't an AP seminar organised at this stage yet.

We did not get any notice-It's in the school holiday-can't they change the date?

RAASA could have said in the email that it was to schools and that the instructors in the school should be told about it. Nowhere in the email is it said that this was addressed to the schools. Have all Part 61 schools who also train Part 62 been notified?

I don't think they will. Maybe you can contact either Pierre at pierre@raasa.co.za or Willem at willem@raasa.co.za

Pierre has just told Donald Hicks, our chairman, that the RAC L03/11 was sent to all instructors and ATO's on their system. The RAC should have said also that this was a notification to all schools and that the schools were to notify their instructors. What about Part 61 schools who train Part 62? I don't know. The RAC is also not on the RAASA website as of today. Don't know what L02/11 says either

Accepted Willem but the current list is seriously outdated and not everyone frequents this forum - we need to resolve that asap!
