2,000 HP Outboard Semi Inflatable ...

Here's the latest drug runner toy from Europe...

This thing belted across the English channel 3 times per week and was just a blur on the radar of the British Coast Guard.

They were so astonished by the speed of the unknown craft, they brought in a special high speed helicopter to chase it. Drugs were found on board. Of course, you'd have to be on drugs to put the throttle down on this rig!

Now, imagine rows of Rotax's on the engine mounting plate!

I think you would have to sell a lot of drugs to cover the fuel cost.

If you want a real boat engine.... or 3...

Those outboards are "Girlie" engines compared to this thing.

The Zvezda M503 was a maritime 6 row, 42 cylinder diesel radial engine built in the 1970s by the Soviet Union. Its primary use was in Soviet missile boats, which used THREE of these engines. This engine may have had other applications, but due to its extreme weight (12,000+ lb), it would have been limited to ground or naval applications.

* Type: 42-cylinder Liquid cooled 6 row, 7 cylinder per row diesel radial engine
* Bore: 6.29 in
* Stroke: 6.69 in
* Displacement: 8,763 in³ (143.6 L)
* Length: 145.66 in
* Diameter: 61.41 in
* Dry weight: 12,015 lb (5,450 kg) (dry)

Components

* Valvetrain: 7 overhead cam shafts, one per bank.
* Fuel type: Diesel fuel
* Cooling system: Liquid-cooled

Performance

* Power output: 3,942 hp at 2,200 rpm
* Specific power: 0.44 hp/in³
* Power-to-weight ratio: 0.32 hp/lb.

Used in the pulling tractor, "Dragonfire", NOT running diesel.
Check out the supercharger inlet on the front.
