Hi Guys I have decided to post some Did you Know toppics every now and then that might be interesting to some or maybe some useless info for others. Any one is welcome to please join me with some enlighting posts.........So here goes.......

Beernoulli wrt to wings (as opposed to pipes) never made sense to me, becasue it kind of means that the air over the top has to have some prior knowledge of how much it has to speed up to keep pace with the air over the bottom, but wth, who cares as long as it works.

Anyway, Did you know.....

The word hangar comes from the French but probably not a guy called Hangar who stored his blimps in one as is sometimes thought. More likely to be from the Latin word angarium which was a shed where horses got shod, in turn from the word ungulus for hoof. Amazing the cr@p you can find on the 'net (!!)

Edit... did I really say Beernoulli... must have fluids on the mind.

Yes Bennie - hence the reaosn why AOA devices are actually more correct than airspeed indicators for stall warning.

Did you know..................
Duct Tape and Duck Tape are both correct for the same product.

Generally duct tape used for sealing ducting.........easy.
Duck tape, used in the war to seal ammo boxes from rain and damp thus causing the water to run off like? Yip
Water off a ducks back.

I think (open to correction though, he admitted modestly) there's also a Duck Tape brand name of duct tape.
