At this point of time I went camping the weekend and met up with him , quite a remarkable fellow - even more so the Ruston Hornesby engine that the oke have in perfect working order.
This engine is a 15 hp that has been running for the last 50 years plus . its a single cylinder with the crankshaft horisontally at ground level , the flywheel runs in a pit and the top half is as tall as what I am , Ill try posting a pic of it .
The pigs have been sorted as the watermellon crop and "spanspeks " have been sent to the market with the old Foden truck , but that anoother story for another day .These guys sure live a tough life , but a good one -
no compicated issues - but ..............But dont get conned into having" n Kappie "- this is a toast made of wild fruit - Stamvrugte witblits - stronger than the kick of a mule - used for all kinds of ailments from teething problems to diahorrea , real good folks these . LeprachAUN

I spoke to my old sidekick, "die lelike eend" aka Duck Rodgers, and we have decided that we can like to help you out there is the sticks. If there is someone out there with an old 25 or 30cc petrol engine and a small proepeller we can make a frame to fit on my back. I have a old paraglider that I will then strap myself into and I can then get the Duck strapped to my legs. He will do the shooting. Take off will be interesting because he has to do the running while I have the prop and wing attached to me but Im sure we can mananage. Alex , dont worry it will all be leagal, Ill get the whole rig signed out. I know this guy on a plot in Bapsfontein ......

Anyway let us knoe if you still have a problem with the pigs, with the baboons Ill just show them my payslip and tell them I recruting for the newspaper. Youll never see them again.

Invite all the "hunters" on Microlighters for a bosberaad on your farm - let the "voggies" flow and in no time you'll then have other types of pigs, baboons & monkeys on your farm and this will piss-off the natural ones so much, they'll pack up their stuff and move to your neighbours farm!

Then the fun will begin.... those stupid enough to stay and that refuse to trek, we'll woo with animal calls then the war begins

We had a couple Zeffs chuning him grief last weekend and the dentis probably made his christmas bonus after this rough and tumble . Me and my uncle he was the late sheep from the family wanted to go fly wif the windlass this morning we wants to check the mielie oes and sommer greet my pa and the other farmers from the ski early today
Wen we get ou windlass started after n big gesukkel because the horsefly made nest in the filter on the kaffirbuiter the airs started to blow . My uncle has his kispak on , and his hair was glad gekam with brilcrem , he looked smart I tell you .
He say we must tke a ride on the southern cross.
Ja he wants to feel what it like to ride in n helikopter. We climb up the windpomp torin and stop the windpomp with the break and my uncle say i must maak hom vas here on the wiel.I take my belt and I ty his one foot and I take his belt and i tie his two foot now i got nofingto tie more so he say i must take cable tie to tie his hands one and two
I get the cable ties from the windlass bacpak and so gemaak . we take hie das and I tie his middle to the middel of the southern cross wiel . I checks and he is lekker vas he say i must skiet die briek but i check a preflight and his eyes are dike like his mouf and his ey is red like the last sun and i miss the trap and fall dowm the traps of the tower . I break noufing and I skiet the briek and slowly the wiel starts turning fatser and faster , i cant hear what he say but i see potatoand carrot fly with some beet and i thinks this is very funny , My pa comes to chec the water point for his beeste and he sees this jus as he wants to stop this funny thing the southerncross wheel lets go and daar trek my uncle with the propelleor .
He falls his gat of in the mielies but before my pa gets him he runs away with his kispak broek in his hand as he got no belt or kruisband to keep his broek in plase. My auntie comes to see wahts we are doing and she klaps him warm cause his kispak is torn and dirty . My pa say heis going to donner us wen he catches us now we are waiting for blikkies the windpomp mechanic to fix the pomp as my pa is baie the bliksem in now . Ek ry vandag terug vanaf Bloemfontein en sien die windpompe so tussen die mielies in die Vrystaat en wonder net , Ja soos jou pa soms se sy ma moes jou oom vroeg tyd al dood gele het , dan was julle lewe dalk anders .
Die nuwe jaar het met alle erns begin so dis tyd dat julle julle ding moet los en begin rigting kry soos jou pa se .
Ek kom so oor 2 weke daar by jou verby dan sal ek jou AP op die trike kom doen en dan kan ons so bietjie ernstig gesels .

Jis we have big troubles again .
The windus is just broke again.
my uncle ands me we just decide to fix some of my pas old enjins and we tackle the 5 horspower fairbanks mors .
This one comes just after the groot trek and it last runs on voko .
We take it out of the stoor and put it in the hangar where we can cleans it because it has been resting for about 20 years. we turs the slinger and we nturns but no spark so we take it open and we fix it but still no running. we get tired of turning the slinger and my uncle brings his xt50o and get Jonas and vaalpiet to hold the xtvas while we puts the back tire on the vlywheel and he gives vet , the engine hoes and proes and eventually it starts running . it runs so fast we cant stop it and it chases us around the stoor tillit pushes my windlass into the corner and brakes the chew kielie popeller.
My uncle takes the bobbejaan and bliksems the engine till it stops . the boys eyes are like pierings and the stoor is full of smoke and now i needs a new prpelor for the windlass. I can fetch in gauteng and will pay in notes lets me no if yous can help - Willempie
