The weather looks beautiful from here in PTA. I'm visiting my family for the weekend (flying there of course) Wanted to leave this afternoon but typical Friday afternoon - waiting for a phonecall to finish stuff that will be needed at 08h00 Monday morning. So take-off tomorrow morning.

Oh well, at least I can now only return on Monday morning, having taken care of business today!

You guys could not have asked for a more perfect afternoon for your trip. Enjoy - AND BEWARE of the "DARK SIDE"!

I can confirm that Madman, Tank Slapper, Alpha, Gaylord, Thatchman, Big D and BBM landed at Ntokozo on Friday afternoon

Thatchman picked me up this morning and we flew to Zebula to meet up with everybody and Maddog, Stevie , Flo & Ecpresso was also there.

Stevie and Flo had to go to Nylsrtoom and then headed back home.... The rest of us routed to Warmbaths and then to Ntokozo for brekkie.

This one was epic - Thanks to all that made this weekend a very memorable one, special thanks to Thatch for making his possy available - You are a scholar and a gentleman sir

The flying was great, the company was great, the chow and the dops were great - Everything was great, even listening to Radio Rafiek 135.20 while flying was highly entertaining "Hey brew, welcome to radio Rafiek coming to you live from 6000 feet this morning, today we are going to talk about that do@s Big D and his PROPWASH" - Sorry about the propwash brothers, I still need to get used to flying a faster trike - Rookie mistake



We should do this again. I tell you we have some real characters in Microlighting and this was alot of fun

I can only echo the words of those before me. What an awesome weekend, we were spoilt by the weather and flying was supurb.

Thatch Sorry that Dave stole your parking, but with a bright new aerie we had to forgive him.... Dave boetie, you must have propowashed me at least 4 times so that takes the tally to ten for the weekend... good job son !!! Plane is fast but its the pilot keeping it flying straight CHOP ...

Thatch and Gayord, a BIG thanks for staying behind yesterday morning for the "cleanup" while the rest of us beetled to get out of there before the thermals appeared. Had a great flight home with a nice little taillie (not you gav) allowing the duck to sit at an average 82 MPH cruise all the way home.

Lads - (new and old) it was a pleasure meeting you and having such a party. I must be honest i dont think the zebula pool has seen such a motley bunch for a long time and wont see such a motley bunch until we return again.... What a lag... just like when that suave chick tried to walk past us and keep her pose, walked into the only rock in the pool area, POSE GONE - - so many laughs and soo many beers... sooo much fun....

Not for get the guy who started it all...Dish...Ducky...Muffy...Big Boy Mufasa...you are a mate of note...thanks for getting this started and making us all feel welcome.

I have never met such a great bunch of guys, we will definitely do this again...

As for the flying, wow, was that awesome...Let me tell you guys...the GT pilots are an awesome bunch, because they love to fly, "no matter what you fly as long as you fly" should be their motto. Thatch, Gaylord, Flo, Big "propwash" D... what a humble bunch of guys and they flew with the slower bunch all over the place...

Tribal and Landy...julle is koning...dankie vir die brandstof en die awesome ontbyt, ons gaan definitief weer kom kuier....

The whole weekend was a success...one not to be forgotten....Madman and Tanks Slapper....Great wingmen of note...I will fly with you anyday!

I started posting a leg by leg Journal...this I will complete and post tonight for your reading pleasure, giving a bit more detail on the weekends happenings...
