Whatever "pulls your chain" Bud - just fly safe and enjoy your time in the air. !!!!

Tip: Exponential increase in logistics is proportional to distance from home base.

Hello, my name is DarkHelmet and I AM A PATCH FLYER!

As long as I am in the air I am happy! My work is hectic lately and just a circuit gives me the fix to continue the next week! It is not uncommon for me to drive 75km to the field - pre-flight and fly 5 minutes to Aeroden and sit and talk flying with Basie at Aeroden over a cup of coffee and then fly back and lock up.

My softness is kind enough to allow me a day at the field to unwind but I am ALWAYS working when at home (or sitting on the forum here ;) ) So I do try to make some home time on the weekend by sacrificing some flying.

Think of it as a tabacco addict using a patch...we're all addicts, admit it, know we're the problem yet still can't seem to get rid of it

You can see the way DH starts off - Microlighters Anonymous - hence the fictitious names. It's an indiscriminate drug, affecting the business owners to the guy on the 125cc Scooters scooter. They say the only cure is to keep at it until you get bored, BUT it takes a while as Demon is still trying to quit and you can see he pulls bar less and less nowadays :!: so pehaps it can be stopped :?:

Hi, I'm Tracer and I addicted to Microlighting... vhpy

I still have a long way to go, but I already see what the guys meant when they said it becomes a way of life.

pulling the bar less and less...

This is a whole new topic on its own! Big D gets fatter and fatter as he buys faster and slicker aeries. I am investing in my trusted safari everytime just to be able to fly. Big D takes the approach of upgrading and selling his last precious for a new precious that is faster and more recent than the last.

I invest in my trike - new crank going in this year - Big D side-steps the issue by just "upgrading".

In fact it works out to the same monetary effect. I still fly slow and have to pull bar to keep up with him. I lose weight by having to pull bar more and more to keep up with him... Dish had first hand experience of my "bar in stay with Big D" maneuvre on Sunday ;)

Big D gets bigger and needs to invest in faster aeries with more lift to keep himself up...

I bar in and fly alongside him smiling (although every muscle in my body is aching trying to keep up!)... I bar out and outclimb him!

I fear for my life - a BIG microlighter is going to try to break through my 3 foot steel gate to kill me for calling him BIG

Eagle 1 tells me that Lens Patch is Most spectacular... read that anyway you like.. ha ha but seriously, flying around that area of the world must be an absolute treat..

DH - My mate your forgetting one thing and that is that BIG D has a lot of experience with other bars.. and I dont mean alcoholic, I mean the type that support 8,000,000 kilograms precariously balanced above his head... That is one hell of a strong oke, so if I were you, I would probably refrain from calling him fat... he might just take offense and we wouldnt want that..... To quote Obelix - "im not fat im just well covered"

Goodness I enjoy this site !!!! (-)
