Well done Andries (^^) (^^)

The nicest part of having your license is you can fly when and where you want. No need to book anything. puff .See you at the Fly and Braai on the 15th June. Hope the WX allows the fly part. vhpy

Thanks Faiz for the saamvlieg yesterday...enjoy your new hangar...I will stay put with the scaly wags that I am sharing with for the time being. Hans must now just fit the 95% shade cloth we gave him. String is now also provided! No excuses!

Steve, thanks for the invite and hope your exhaust paint works...please let us know.

Hope the guys are having a lekker time at Asterix's birthday party and please fly safe...the WX is not in your favor today. Be careful. ##

Remember...Fly & Braai 15th June....please come and join us.

Fri morning I was all packed and raring to go. 06h30....3-4knts NE wind....perfect...except for.....mist from here to Secunda  Tribal Croc diverted to JAG and we waited. 08h00....09h00....eventually FABA started clearing from the West so I told Francios to hop over to FABA from JAG where there is at least some hanger space in case.

By 11h00, the mist was deteriorating but the wind had come up so I aborted my fly in plans. :(
Franna was confident the GT could handle the short (for him) 50 min flight so I decided to jump in the back with him and route to beginsel with Maxine following us by road. Nice a busy up there but we found some good air up at 7000ft or so. Have never seen such a profound inversion layer before and we landed with no hiccups at the farms strip 56min after leaving FABA.

Dissapointed to have missed out on the flying bit but we know the saying..."when there is doubt...."

Always fly within your limits...glad I didnt go in hindsight, because my plane would still be down there...en dis nie net half uur se ry om te gaan haal nie!

Otherwise we had a great jol down in Standerton. (^^) James and his family really spoilt us all. vhpy

Mulder I'm beginning to think that you are the "good luck charm"? As jy nie op my vlerk is nie is die weer altyd KAK op n fly away!!

Just luck of the draw. :( And you weren't going to Barberton and see what happened, canceled. Maybe you are right. You share the airspace with 3 things...other aircraft, birds and the weather. The latter is the least predictable and arguably the most dangerous. (**) Don't hold your breath when you are planning a flying trip. You just might pass out. ** Glad you guys had a lekker weekend. As you can see we went flying on Saturday morning. Could not beleive the wx forcast for 13H00 was 15 Knt winds. Wind aloft was 20 Knts NW in the morning but nothing on the ground...what a windshear when you come in to land. (**) Landed for coffee at Zynkraal. vhpy

Now watch... our fly and braai weekend...this comming weekend...is going to be perfect. ^

Hi Peter, I have to get to work as early as possible so 06H30 - 45 latest wheels up. Thought of flying to the dam via kliprivier. Depends on which way the wind is blowing. Upwind out, downwind back, is first choice for me.

Nick, you don't want to work where I am. It barely pays enough to buy food never mind fly.

The whole place was just ice and frost when we took off at 06H30. Took this picture outside my hangar when we returned at 07H40. ** **
