Radio Controlled model planes I would say. Rather spend your money on that than simulators. My feeling at least. With internet importing the motor and radio equipment makes the hobby very very affordable.

totaly wikid - where are u training on the trike?

I am training at Wintervogel with Trygve and Graham. Trike is now hangered at Wintervogel as well. I have not even been In my own trike yet! Graham test flew it for me and thats it. Did get to taxi it atleast around the hanger when Vliegvarks dad flew the plane from Goedverwacht to WV.

Planning to get some training done this weekend if weather clears. And yourself? Any flying lately - model or full scale?

Have been playing flight sim 2002, 2004, Fsx for long time, got a lot off knowledge and background (had no prior flying knowledge)

The bad thing is the pause button, not in real life available.

The real thing is the best.

Got it posted there for about a week now. Problem being it is a large model so getting it to someone futher than 400km is n problem.

Will try and sell it local. Best would be to sell it to someone at my club. Will fly it there this weekend with a big 4 sale sign on it

being a bit of a computer geek I have a flight sim setup at home. Flight Sim X has the air creation buggy 582. I have got a set of rudder pedals and also have a wooden stick zip tied across the top of the pc joystick to form a control bar. You can reverse the controls in FSX so forward for up, back for down, left for turning right etc. I also have the pedals reversed to mimic the trike direct go-kart style control.

works ok to familiarise yourself with the actions in a trike. but of course nothing beats doing it for real! and to be honest I have done maybe a few hours using it. Flight sims bore me silly really.

I found flight sim is excellent when it comes to understanding the gauges and controls. I spent many hours on flight sim and met a skeptic who took me flying in his Cessna. We took off, cleared the local airspace and he said their you go MR Flight sim destination is in the GPS get us there. Which I did including trimming the plane right to setting us up for finals at our destination. Although there is no substitute for actual flying, you will be amazed at how familiar the cockpit feels when you get into a real plane. The hardest part for most new pilots is being able to scan the instruments and understand what they are telling you. Flight sim will teach you this as well as general controls.
