There are enough helpers with beers in that picture to make a battery. vhpy I see I am even ready to radio for even more help. Robbie, if it weren't for you holding the A frame it would have hit Bundy on the head. Were there any parts left over when you were finished Bundy? (**) Did you ever find the rubber washer! What a great bunch. (^^) (^^)

Ja, and yesterday afternoon on my way back from bird spotting at Marievale I stopped over for a quick flight. All suited up, scarf on, gloves on, Dionne in back seat and all kitted, turn ignition switch....click...click...click. ## The battery is DEAD. 9.7 V with only the instruments on. Organising a new battery today.

Nope... I'm certain it must have fallen into the battery box.. during the "geruk en gepluk"..so it can f#@$ken stay there!
Luckily a rubber washer is not that difficult to fabricate... ^

I hope the Windlass has a better design chom! What a pain in the a$$ that was... ##

Thanks very much for your help with the comms issues. (^^)

I removed the battery while Dionne was sitting in her seat waiting. I had to tell her she can get out we are not flying. (^^) Suppose I could have pull started but no need, I was just outside my hanagar...rather cancel the flight. (!!)

I am sure the new battery on the radio will fix the rest of your comms problems. Stef is battling to find a place where it can be repacked. ##

DBP with her new starter battery breaks the sound barrier. That should be the end to those problems as well. (^^)

I saw Nick yesterday evening and we chatted about the half built stainless steel braai he can get for a whole R100.

Decided to get it as well. (^^)
We can complete it for very little monetary imput and then we can finally retire the WW1 tank spares relic that is rusting away at the lapa.

So looks like we are all sorted on the fire making front.

Does anyone know a reasonably priced pest control operator? Our next urgent step I think must be to treat the slab and timber footings of the lapa for termites! They are evident and I have seen what happens when this is left unchecked. I do know one but he is very $$$$ Any useful referals we can look at? The lapa must be kept in good nick guys.

Lets get the prices in so we can start to budget.

Cheers,
Bundy

Had new custom flight suits made for me and D. Something is wrong....neither fit. I gave them exact measurements and yet I must have somehow messed it up. Maybe I must just get longer gloves and longer socks. D is missing....not even her hair will be cold. We want to leave for Barberton on Friday morning...how am I going to sort this mess out before then. ## Jerritjie tog maar dit is moielik om dinge die erste keer reg te doen. ##
