Prop damage

Postby Cloud Warrior » Mon May 01, 2006 2:59 am

I am distraught!

My mistress arrived in Oz 3 weeks ago and I finally had time to wheel her out of the garage this weekend for a polish and loving fondle only to discover that the moronic @$@#$@ movers had somehow damaged the one tip of my nearly brand new P-Prop!!!! Looks like it was rubbed up against something and the tip has worn off. I did not see the damage initially as the prop was covered when I went to pick her up. Now I have to find a local to repair the damage or send it back to SA to have Piet look at it. And I am hoping that the gearbox hasn't suffered any damage in the knock.

Anybody got some courier company connections or heard of a wooden prop repairer in Oz?

The lesson learnt is:

When a tiny voice inside your head says " thou shalt take off your prop before it goes into the container" - listen to it!

#$@#$@#$@!! [0* [0* [0* #-0

And my wife wonders why I am in a foul mood.......

Good grief CW, I can just imagine your frustration. It is bad enough being in Klerksdorp and my EGT guages give in. And I am only 200 kms from J,burg and the near service centre!

Would a new prop not be a better option then sending it all the way back? And quicker.

Luckily I have tracked down a wooden prop man here in Oz. I am sending it off this afternoon for him to look at. If it can't be fixed then I am going to get a locally made Bolly "plastic" prop for my baby.
