That's fine. I am just inquiring if things have changed of late.

On another note and for those in the Omaruru area .. I am not sure if you know that Martine Sacoun (Andre's wife) passed away yesterday morning. I saw him here in Cape Town last night and convinced him to join on the trip up.

Martine will be sadly missed.

Cheers
I posted a thread on the Hanger Talk section yesterday regarding martien!

Thanks JP I got that... Sorry to hear that your wings have been clipped . Temporary I hope.

I have sent the applications in for overflight & landing. Maybe Hanno can chase it up...

So far we are three a/c from the Cape and things are still on track for us to leave Cape Town on the 8th to be in Swakop on the 9th. We will overnight in Oranjemund.

Is there still daylight saving?

Just wan't to make sure that you guys have everything sorted! Over flight permission? Accomodation in Swakopmund, Uis and Omaruru? At this point it seems as if we will not be joining you guys in Uis any more, but no need to panic! Kallie and a bunch of other guys will be there and they know about you guys! Where will you guys be staying while in Uis? In Uis you don't need to worry about transport, everything is within a couple of hundred meters! We will fetch you guys at the Swakop Airfield whenever you guys arrive! Jay Jay, I remember something about Wednesday? And in Omaruru we also have transport sorted! Me and my dad will fly to Omaruru Friday Afternoon, we should be there at about 4:30! Charl I take it that you will continue on to Uis on the 9th?

Going to be a awesome weekend in the "Bush"! See you guys there

Kind Regards

Hi JP
We will be staying over at Haus Garnison in Swakop, Brandberg Lodge in Uis and Omaruru Guest house in Omaruru. While I did my nav i noticed on EasyPlan that we can not use 06/24 at Swakop due to Repairs. Is this still the case?
Two days to go. We will see in Omaruru then.
I think Carl and his buddies will also arrive in Swakop on Wednesday. Not 100% sure. They sleep over in Oranje Mund.
JP I can't remember if you gave me your cell number. Mine is +2783seven 8six2390.
See Soon

Sorry About that! 06/24 is closed and will remain that way for a while! 17/35 is open it is about 920 meters long and in Daily use! 210's/Caravans/PC12's/402's so need to worry! If the South Wester is howling you can use short 24/06 it runs parallel to the fence near to the hangers, we use it for microlights, gyro's etc about 350 meters long! I will be available on the radio when you guys arrive!

Will quickly upload a image showing the runways!
