After watching it, I was a little disappointed.
Don't get me wrong there is some fantastic flying sequences and the photography from a technical point of view is out of this world. Some sequences look so good, you may be forgiven for thinking they captured it from a flight sim session.
The first few minutes did capture as to the reason why any of us fly, and agree with an earlier comment about handing the dvd to someone who asks us the question.
But for the rest - it appears to be more of a promotional video documentary promoting the Van Nuys airfield.

The DVD is about flying, the reasons we fly, and the pressures a local field has to stay alive. I think a lot of people we feel dissapointed about the history and pressures about that airfield on the DVD. I for one can appreciate the pressures a field experience to stay alive, I see it with our local field and the pressures from the general public.
