The Wintervogel Squadron was almost at full force when we flew to the Franschoek valley this morning. We found this beautiful landing strip, and invaded it for a while. We ended the day off with a wors braai at Wintervogel, listening to Grumpy and Rusty about the dogfights they had.

belongs to Moreson, and landing is on invitation, I think. We flew overhead and were asked if we wanted to come and visit.

The Wintervogel Squadron has been somewhat depleted over the holidays, with only the "hard core" doing the necessary.

Come on guys, we need to get together to do the planning for the new years events.

But never fear, watch this space, Grumpy has one up his sleeve which will be hatched shortly.

Grumpy has MANY ideas up his sleeve... he even has to have his sleeves specially tailored!!!
I have been flying all of last week and didn't hear mych trike activity. Lots of 3 Axis planes and a few gyros but I only heard 2 trikes! No activity at Wintervoegel for a change!!

Ya all very quiet at the moment except for the pie instead of braai on Saturday. For me, can't make it this weekend, have visitor from France on short notice till Tuesday. Sunday is also argus cycling in plebville for me en..... die wind gaan weer waai!

THI - Wintervogel is famous for Pie on a Braai wanneer die cashflow pla. Were looking very forward to this weekends flying, now the fransman kom beduiwel alles, very sad state of affairs especially with some pie around.
