Pilgrims Rest

Postby Bumpy » Wed Jun 10, 2009 11:54 am

I have deceided to move this to hanger talk, because it got no views on the destination section

Hey microboffs

I am looking for a micolight airstrip in the town of Pilgrims Rest to land a trike there and stay over for the weekend.

(I know about FAPO but that is too far from the town)

Any info will be appreciated

Cheers

Phil

Hi Gavin

Those co-ordinates are for FAPO, I understand that that strip is about 14km outside of town...

Have you been there?

I am looking for a small microlight strip near the caravan park...

Cheers

Hi Phil vhpy

If you are looking for an existing strip in PR, then no, not aware of one. FAPO is nearest option.

Landed the hang glider once on the caravan park's sport field. Not to be recommended either.

Go for the newly constructed main road and claim mechanical stoppage. Mind the powerlines though. vhpy
