Re: Oil Injection 582

Sorry for the slow response . Rain and more and school holidays. Further investigation has revealed - I am not the only one to suffer this odd oil leak . The problem appears to be dirt or old tired springs in the non return valves on each of the oil pump outlets. In my case only one side. The oil pi...

Re: Oil Injection 582

Thanks will have a look this weekend. Take pictures etc . No the rotary valve reservoir is up to the mark. (It never seems to need topping up) I use a different color 2 stroke oil in the rotary valve and oil injection . On a side note I grew up with japanese 2 strokes and later 4 stroke (chain oiler...

Re: Oil Injection 582

I was under the impression that oil was injected via these two lines from the oil pump . These lines run along engine behind carbs . OK- so it sounds like good design to pump oil to the rotary valve face. So what do these two tiny lines do.? Options 1. I guess in the absence of a old pump to examine...

Re: Oil Injection 582

Ok not much support for autolube . But it works (for now)! Inspecting cables confirmed metering lever is closed at idle(ie marks align). Looking down the throat of forward carby a pool of oil is gathered around the small nozzle and is pooling toward the aircleaner. Yes the motor does cant forward (p...
