Re: Trike long-range tank

Hi Stefan

What trike is it off? Am I right in saying you can just replace the fittings? I am changing seals on my fuel drain/ sampler now.

I am in Otjiwarongo.

Re: Ramp Inspection List

RAMP CHECKS! Some guidance from Rowena Kraidy Ramp inspections are always a fear by microlight and light sport aeroplane owners. This should not be the case. If you know what is required then having it available should not be a problem. So, here it goes.... Documents to have in your aircraft: What I...

Re: Fuel tank plumbing

You could not have it at the very bottom of the tank because it will just pick up water or gunk at the bottom of the tank. Having the pick-up from the top also means it is easier to work on/ inspect without having to drain the tank.

Re: Deployed old ballistic chute

Hmmm, 5-8 year repack would probably represent a half life type probability of failure. So the chances of failure past 5-8 years get exponentially greater. The fact that one deployed successfully after 3x the recommended life means nothing. Deploy 20 that are 15 years old and all worked, then we can...

Re: Microphone wind noise

I am not a big fan of "wind in my face". I have a balaclava with a slit cut in the side and I feed the mike through. These new buffs are all the rage now and you could do the same with a buff.
