In my opinion the Canon S3is is the absolute best value for money consumer digicam right now. It is packed with features, have 6mp resolution and a whopping 12x optical zoom. That's about 32 - 430 mm zoom. I also features an absolute MUST for photography from a trike or gyro; An image stabilizer (IS...

I must  admit  that it's been a while since I lurked here. Had to keep the treadmill going. I had a couple of enquiries about the program and venue details for the gyroplane conference and AGM. If you are interested in finding out more about anything to do with gyros, it's probably the b...

Just to stop the phone calls - I haven't looked at the forum the last couple of days, but I did PM'd Chaz on the 17th and we had a chat subsequently - thanks for the reminders. My stock advice is to get your butt in as many different types of gyros as you are interested in and experience it for your...

Krugersdorp game reserve is also a very nice budget option in the Johannesburg area. You'll see White Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hippo a number of Antelope as well as Lions in the lion enclosure. You can go on a guided game drive, horseback ride (recommended) or take your own vehicle. I'ts the kind o...

I took the inner lining that comes with the David Clark K10 helmet to a leather shop and the guy said he could have a leather flying cap made up from that. I decided not to pursue it at the time, but that might be an option and will then work with a modern headset. The hardest part is to find rubber...
