Re: Raptor vs Aquilla

Hi Guys, I did all my training on the Aquilla and my first trike was an Aquilla with a 503 motor. I enjoyed flying the Aquilla but my wing was very sensitive and I seem to have felt any turbulance long before anyone else. Since 2006 I have been flying a Raptor with a 17 sq ft wing and just love it. ...

Re: The Mag: Planes, Bikinis, Accidents, MS-Word Shortcuts e

I enjoy the magazine and look forward to receiving it in the mail, but I must agree that the "kaalgat" girls spoil it a bit for me. I agree with Boet - we want to see more aeries!

Re: Trike touch and go at International airport?

I was up in Arusha for business laste week and met up with Marius. He introduced me to the owners of the trike and they were gracious enough to allow me a flight in their Aquilla. So on Saterday afternoon at 17:00 I took off with Marius in the back seat (because I don't have a Tanzanian licence- yet...

Re: Trike touch and go at International airport?

Hi Marius,

I am working in Tanzania and I often go to Arusha. How do I contact you and will it be possible to "hire and fly" there? I would love to be able to do some flying while I am here.

Just as a matter of interest, how many of you out there work outside of South Africa and only get to fly when you are back home? What do you do to maintain proficiency and what do you do to ensure that the engine life is not shortend due to lack of use? Any ideas on what one should be doing regardin...

How does the HKS perform at higher altitudes ( 4000 - 5000 ft agl)? Have you had any reliability issues?

Hi, I will defnitely have to answer lots of questions about the microlight and why I want to fly it here in Gambia but luckily there were a couple of trikes flying from here in the past (Brit registered) so its not all new to the local CAA. At the moment there is a C42 Ikarus and a Thruster based at...

Hi Guys, At least some of the microlights standing in hangers belong to guys like me who work outside South Africa. I have a brand new Raptor (50 hours on the clock) standing in a hanger in SA while I work in Gambia (west Africa). I only go home about four times a year and them fly as much as I can....

Thanks RV. Eish! Prices seem a bit steep. I will have to speak to the boss for a bit of a sponsorship!!!

There are also some practicalities that I must still sort out such as anual AP inspections etc.

Hi Bumpy. Has your JK been repaired yet?

Cheers.
