Re: BATTLEFIELDS 2009

So far to the best of my knowledge from Microland are Lionel in Bushbaby flying down on Friday returning Tuesday, Joe Terblanche getting there before Friday and returning Sunday, and the 'K's flying down Saturday returning Tuesday.

For those who have not seen this movie it is on tonight on DSTV 105 / STARS at 23:30. Sort of a flying version of Good Morning Vietnam!

Re: Wood or Warpdrive

Some experience with 582 Bushbaby:. Originally delivered with Hennie Malan prop - not bad but had some vibes. replaced it with P Prop that worked very well until nose over into sand. Flew back from kalahari on Hennie Malan prop. Ordered new PProp to same spec but had problems - think it actually was...

Award for Aiden

I am sure I am only one of a large number of people sad to get the news about Aiden and who remember him as a friendly helpful fellow always ready to discuss a problem and give you the benefit of his knowledge. To have achieved aircraft sales of probably over 1500 with the exemplary safety record th...

Re: Aiden de Gersigney

So sorry to hear this shocking news. My thoughts go to his family and all at Solo Wings. We will remember Aiden and his contribution to South Africa aviation for a very long time.

Re: hangar in Vryburg

Remember an evening spent camping under the wing at Lichtenburg due to wind blowing fit to bust! Arrival at Lichtenburg was memorable event with several out-of-seat experiences. Was Bundubash season though. Quite a few hangars but sorry no contacts.

Re: Which Radio For The Explorer

R48 / year is the least of your worries. Would gladly swap radio license & hangarage any day! The ICA 200 is a great radio, plenty of power, frequency preselect, built in intercom and looks good!. Costs more than a handheld though!
