22nd tot 25ste September. Jy sal dit nooit ooit vergeet nie.
Amper so onvergeetlik soos jou solo.

Re: Africa Cup 2017
Can someone tell me or direct me to where information is available about frequency/special joining procedures for Numbi. Will there be traffic control or any such thing?
I am planning on flying down on Friday morning although WX doesn't look great.
Thanks Frank

Re: Africa Cup 2017
Africa Cup 2017!!!!!.
An early morning navigation route of +- 1 hour, was the first task awaiting the pilots. Precision timing and observation was in the order of the day. The first leg took the pilots along the Sabie river and border of the Kruger National Park, with the possibility of spotting some game. The second leg routed them over the Nyjaka Dam and from there, alongside the beautiful mountain range to a private airstrip no far from Hazyview. From the private airstrip the route took them to a tricky turn point close to Hazyview, with the last waypoint over the landing deck at Hotel Numbi. After joining overhead the landing deck, the pilots were instructed to do a precision landing in the marked landing deck. Here also, the pilots showed of their special skill to all sitting and watching on the ground. Great airmanship and skills were showcased, from the rookie pilots all the way through to the more experience old ballies. I must admit: “sommige jong manne het die ouer manne se gatte geskop”!!!
After finishing our tasks the second day, one of the overseas spectators came to me and say: “These are really a bunch of skilled pilots I must say” . Ek het net my kop geskud en so trots gevoel.
Thanks again for a great weekend.
