Hi All
As this is a Fly-in the frequency remains 124.8 and will be unmanned. However we will have a radio on the ground for conditions on the ground . FTC from George will be doing introductory flights on Friday afternoon and Saturday
The trip to Canariesfontein on Saturday will be for LSA or microlights as the strip is only 700 m. The altitude of the strip is higher than Carnarvon(5000ft above sea level). The pan in Van Wyksvlei can handle bigger aircraft and is about 3500 ft above sea level. Carnarvon is 4120ft above sea level . Main runway is 16-34 1250m / 05-23 1200m / 12-30 1000m . All gravel and servicable.

Looks like we are going to get wet this side.
Re: Carnarvon Fly-in 12-14 May 2017
Open Skies here. Had some rain last night. Pretty stiff breeze Friday. 10 m/s from the south east. A bit better on Saturday. Not much we can do about the weather. Maybe better weather next time.
