Re: NB: Aeroclub Frustration - Comments Please!
As mentioned above, here is Donald's feedback
My report, that is posted here, was tabled at the Aero Club Board Meeting last night (12/7/2011).
The board consensus of opinion expressed by the other sub-sections of the Aero Club was that our service delivery concerns were applicable
to them too. These matters were deliberated in detail and a package of solutions/enablers to enhance performance were tabled and they were
approved for immediate implementation.
I am thrilled that these matters received the attention that they deserved and I look forward to them becoming a core component of a new
found centre of service delivery excellence. We will, on a quarterly basis, provide further feedback on the progress made with the implementation
and on the effectiveness of the approved solutions..

Re: NB: Aeroclub Frustration - Comments Please!
I sincerely think we have made progress and would prefer the Exco or Jeff Earle to reply to what is to be done.
Even though the method applied was met with frown, point of the finger and regarded as inappropriate - it has churned out results and appreciate the sections that supported our concerns (was theirs as well) and solutions brought to the table. Let me say that we thrashed the issues through and we view all achieved in a positive light. It was a looooong day to say the least.
I do have a comment.... the microlighters forum is unheard of and was met with some surprise. Oh, you have your own forum? It is apparent that AVCOM is the mouthpiece be all and end all. Hence, I'll copy replies made there to this thread. The board does now however know of our forum! We can be proud of this forum as it is the one used by the largest sub-section of AeroclubSA and with the SAGPA guys thrown in, we have a platform for in excess of 1500 members ( ) of our wonderful recreational activities & passion!

Hi Christo & others...
I think the membership cards have taken a back seat to what is now primarily important and that is getting the member database list up to date, current & correct. I posted a link on another thread for members to PLEASE update their details.... viewtopic.php?f=1&t=16191
Only 40 responses received ..... Some of the responses were incomplete but that's not the end of the world right now. When it is going to be a serious issue is next year when the new system decided is implemented and goes live, we are going to have frustrations yet again.

I'm not sure if mine went through. The website said it did, but shouldn't it have forwarded me a confirmation to the email address I specified?

I only have from the 17th July but the update is automatically sent to 3 e-mail addresses : Mine, Brett & Jackie. Those that were received were updated by Jackie on the Aeroclub system. I am waiting for the latest list from her. This is then going into a MS-Access database. Other corrections done and then back to her. There appears to an issue with the forwarding e-mail address chosen by the person updated and the developers are looking into that. May I add that an incredible amount of "SPAM" hit the system.
Please give me a gap and I'll put together those I have... my day time job has suffered today because of various other MISASA & Aeroclub matters attended to!
