Was looking foreward to joining a large contingent coming from Secunda, but would like to check out the 'air show' details before I decide to go.

Twice flying to or from airshows have encountered some ' airshow exhibitors' encroaching whilst not on frequency. Probably on chat/ formation, but still unsettling.

Make sure you fly in early. Aerial displays from about 11h00 to 14h00.

Our 06h30 take -off was delayed due to mist till 09h30. Slightly bouncy trip with several faster blik overflying above the clouds.

The best ATC I have encountered. Extremely efficient and welcoming. Voksrust flying Club made a huge effort for a fantastic day.Welcomed by 3 gorgous poppies after being ushered to the VIP. tent for a Southern Sun Breakfast. I hope they make lots of bucks because they rent from the council and maintain their faqcilties themselves.

The serious crosswind and early cloud probably accounted for me being the only trike there so I was reluctant to to shuttle the parachutists but the display was very entertaining. Left in the afternoon just as the pub started getting festive. I'm sure lots are still getting their money's worth. A nice jol.

The 3 LSA,s from Ballito was not going to be put off by the WX in the Nalal Midlands,so we took off and flew north looking
for a gap .We landed at many places met wonderful people and ended up at Sodwana and had our own flyin.slept under the
stars,ate like kings and had perfict flying WX.the trip back took us up to Mos border all the lakes etc .
thanks to all who help us on our way like Francoise, the foks at Hluhluwe and ATIS weather.
will post pic as thay come in.
