Just received this on email - very exciting.

Dear All,

On behalf of Rob McFie and myself allow me from the outset to thank all the pilots and their families for entering the 2008 Africa Cup at the Numbi in Hazyview, we really look forward to your arrival next weekend.

This year will be the biggest event ever and we thought it good to put together a program of events to assist you should you wish to plan a trip to the Kruger or else where during the weekend.For the pilots - we have increased the parking area and there will be sufficient safe /secure parking for all

As pilots and their families are arriving at different dates and times herewith the proposed program:
Tuesday 23th September 2008
Participants arriving on Tuesday will check in on a B&B rate and dinner arrangements ( a`la carte) will be at the new Pioneer`s Butcher & Grill at the Rendezvous Tourism Centre next to the hotel
Wednesday 24th September 2008
Participants arriving on this day will check in on the "Four day" package. At 18H30 registration will open and Rob will do the pilots briefing before dinner.As this day is National Braai day, we will be offering a traditional "Lowveld Numbi Braai" at the pool at R95.00 per person with a special rate for kiddies. Gwyn Viljoen our local music man will entertain you with some good songs. All the other meals as from Thursday is included in the package price
Thursday 25th September 2008
Arrivals on this day will check in on the "Three day" package with all meals included until breakfast on the Sunday.The official competition for the Africa Cup starts on Thursday with the navigation flying / cross country leg. For the ladies and kiddies a provisional arrangement has been made at " Elephant Whispers" from 16H00.- only 4km from the hotel This is a fantastic experience, the interaction with the elephants will certainly be a highlight for the junior pilots. Cost - Special offer of R250.00 per adult and R100.00 per junior. Should you be interested please let us know by Tuesday so that we can do the necessary reservation. Dinner will be a buffet in the Wild Fig restaurant from 19H00
Friday 26th September 2008
Free flying on Friday with spectator flying from 15H00. The prize- giving dinner will take place from 19H30 in the conference room with Louis Greef from the band "Drift" as your entertainer, dancing and party until late. For the ladies and juniors we have arrange for a visit to Casterbridge near White River. This is a lovely shopping centre with lots to do - vouchers and things to do will be handed out on arrival

Saturday 27th September 2008
Free flying and spectator flying during the day. On Saturday we have co-cordinated the Hazyview Spring Festival which starts at 09H00 at the Rendezvous Tourism Centre and on the grounds of the hotel.A fresh produce farmers market, vintage and classic motor cars, Harleys, wine tasting, a beer garden with good music, a food court , local art in the park as well as a kiddies entertainment area.Some pilots will be asked to offer flips - in support of the "Young Eagles Fund" . Dinner, a carvery on Saturday night will also be at the centre and the band "Drift" (short for Klipdrift) will provide for a lekker "jol".

After breakfast departure and we will be sorry that you are leaving
