From Avcom:
"Weather on Saturday good, partly cloudy. Wind northerly or north-easterly between 2 to 5 knts for arrivals. Wind expected to come from the sun as per usual, easterly at sunrise and follows the sun to be north-westerly at sunset and picking up speed as the day ages.

Sunday partly cloudy expected by some forecasters and cloudy with drizzle by others.

Lots of moisture and unstable air this time of year, so weather can change in a few hours. Be careful and have alternate landing places available."

Weather looks fine and possible thundershower this PM and tomorrow PM, otherwise good. During the past week the passing thunderstorms moved in but cleared within an hour again with good air to follow.

Thanks to all the organisers and especially to Roel and Gavin. You have a real EAA world class airfield. The closest I have seen in RSA is Stellenbosch. What a turn out as well and the wx also played along beautifully. It was fantastic. (^^) (^^)

Roel, your Trike with the BMW 1200 engine looks fantastic. Great job you did building her. (^^) (^^)

And where were all the trikes, says he, the Lone Trike Warrior!

But yes, well done Roel and team . . . . great effort! (^^)

Well done to all. Pity the 20 MPH morning wind kept some microlights away.

Real nice breakfast :)

Gavin was asking all to follow him, quite a celeb ...

BMW engine on a Trike. Must give excellent fuel consumption.

A huge thanks to everyone who made it to Brits vhpy . Some flew and some drove from far, but everyone seemed to be having fun in the sun.

As yet unconfirmed, but it seems the final tally for the weekend was 168 aircraft. It was great to see so many faces and such a variety of aircraft. Tailspin did an excellent job as ground marshal in the blazing sun with temperatures in the high 30's  . John.com did a turbulent midday departure in the wake of a Bosbok, while everyone thought he was shaking his wing as a greeting vhpy .

Gaylord fed me with Spiced Gold (the last time I drank this must have been during my varsity days at Sodwana Bay). He then restored peace by escorting a rather noisy Jacques off to At-se-Gat, another pub in the area.

It definitely was a great day for free aviation. (^^)
