Can the organisers please please post a few tips us "non-locals" might need to know about joining procedures for the weekend, runway info, ATC expected, reporting points and -altitudes, fuel availability, etc.

Looking forward to this one. We had a practice flight to Brits last Sunday, you know, a few touch-and-goes just to see if we could make it onto the runway and if the wind socks are pointing in the same direction. (For those who do not know, this place is notorious for wind socks at the ends of the runway pointing in opposite directions  )

Uncle Bob Allison is there to assist when it becomes busy. Call inbound 124.20 and follow instructions, alernatively, if unmanned normal overhead joining.

Runways 02 (uphill) and 20 (downhill) with all circuits flown towards the east, i.s. away from the mountain.

Slings and helicopters will be marshalled to designated parking areas. All others will be marshalled to the cental area near the club house.

Avgas and Mogas available. Food on sale. If the forecast is anyrhing to go by, we are looking forward to a busy day.

Sue, really anywhere where you can find a nice spot. The only places that are "reserved" are helicopter parking south end of the field (we don't like there rotor wash near the aeries) and Sling owner's parking north end near Samba city.

I will be there to assist you anyway.

Those who want to camp, but not under the wing, we have the shaded area set aside behind the clubhouse near the ablutions.
