The plan is to go by car ( seconhand and recently bought) to a very remote place in the North West Territories of Canada..
Google 'Yellowknife NWT' and see where I am heading to..
Apart from all the nature attractions it is also the basis of Buffalo Airways ,Training school and flight operations..
Their main line of business is to transport goods and persons to remote places where there are no roads..and only frozen lakes to land on with the occasional rynway here and there..
They do that with World War II Dacotas.!!!
In Canada there was a television series of all there advenrures and I had time to look at about six of the episodes..
From the perspective of adventure flying it was so good that I have decided to go there and try to get onto one of their old World War II Dacotas and become a passenger on one of these flights.!! ( die hoop beskaam nie.!!!)
If the Senior Pilot does not answer my mail I will mail the General director and If he does not answer I will go and knock on his front door in Yellowknife.!!
A family member and boffin with Internet ect ,ect are trying to obtain all the episodes of the series and then maybe I can bring them to SA and we can also enjoy it locally..Time will tell...
