I'm curious as to why you never mentioned in your initial posting the motor has had a prop strike and needs an inspection ?
What has the following statement below, got to do with trying to sell a suspect engine ?

Re: Rotax 582 for sale
I find that many make the mistake of judging others by their own low standards and it really shows... I have nothing to say to you and even less to explain.
For the rest who showed interest in this engine: After spending nearly R50k for the project and engine in one go, I found myself in a situation where I cannot afford to build for the moment. So I decided to swap the engine for something that I could use that would not cost me any more money. In a few months time, when things are better, I would either have looked for another Rotax or settled on a VW as per the KR2 plans.
I saw some ads where the keyboard I wanted was advertised for as little as R10 000. I saw many other adds where the previous model of this keyboard was advertised for R8 500, so R10 000 sounded reasonable. Thus I wanted you give someone the opportunity to a real bargain. Simply purchase the keyboard, even if used, and swap me direct for the engine.
However, as a direct result of the previous post, I hereby retract my offer altogether. I will sit this situation out and install this engine where I originally intended. Thank you for all the interest shown. Every one who contacted me will vouch that I mailed them all the proper log entries for this engine as stated in one of my answers above.

Re: Rotax 582 for sale
Today an APO came to look at my engine. He brought his special tools with. He measured the crankshaft play from the spark plug hole. Out of a 3000 max tolerance, the measured tolerance was 02. (02 signifies run-in) Next he put a camera through both the spark plug holes and through the exhaust port. I will get his video within the next day. His comment was that this engine is like new. Not a scratch on the sleeves or even on the piston rings. The sleeves showed no signs of wear. He was amazed. He said this engine was well cared for. He also analysed the plugs and said "She is a pearl".Farley wrote: ↑Tue Nov 21, 2017 2:01 pmHenninvR

He explained that, because it was a wooden prop and because of the doughnut rubber coupler in the gearbox, the crank did not at all suffer from severe shock.
I have been known for being honest to the extreme through most of my life, especially the last forty years - I dare anyone point out a single lie from my mouth in all of this time. I was insulted by your comment sir. I hope you are proud of yourself. (You missed out on a very good deal as you can certainly no longer have it)
No!!! I am not putting this engine back in the market. I'm merely setting the record straight. To receive unjustified slander like this is above me. I now have even more peace of mind about my almost new Rotax engine. It was a good buy indeed. Thank you Hans for selling to me. I trusted you for the 2nd time and once again I was not disappointed.
