AEROCLUB

I understand that the aeroclub now has some sort of insurance scheme for AP's,but this excludes the engine.This makes me profoundly happy.From now on i service maintain and rebuild my own engine.

..you are permitted to perform your own tasks, under the supervision of an AP, AME etc., with the required maintenance rating

If you have an AP mate, then by all means go for it..
