Microlight wanted.

Postby Renard » Thu May 09, 2019 8:28 pm

Hi guys

I'm in the market for a trike under R25,000.Please get in touch with details.
Can someone give me their honest opinion on a Quicksilver MX2 vs a weightshift trike?
I'm used to flying fixed wing Piper Cherokees and have an expired PPL.
Thank you

Hi Renard, my honest opinion is that in that price range rather look at getting your self a weight shift aircraft. There have been some ready to fly in that price range.

In that price range for a CCM ( fixed wing ) you are only going yo end up with someone else's junk.

The problem with the Quicksilver is its ops limitations with regards to weather.

I'm not saying CCM aircraft are not great. In fact I'm a few weeks into the rebuild of my Flightstar 2 and I think the are and awesome aircraft type. But you don't want to end up with someone else's junk.
