Hi all

So I invited an AP to come and have a look at the trike... only one mod is needed... the nose piece safety cable is not installed..

All rubber and grommets need to be replaced so it should not cost to much to get ATF.

But he suggested to offer only R35k as its an 1999 model. And only 160h left on the engine. ( 1year and maybe 3 months )

Any other offers that anyone would suggest?

..... Or you can come buy my Raptor with 182 hours, ATF in place, blue top 582 that is being flown weekly with no hassles for R68000?
At least you know everything is in working order instead of making an offer on something that might have surprises!

Hi,

The DX2 and the other instruments are serviceable here in Gauteng by Serge from Amptronic ##

I love the DX2 and have never had any issues with mine

Also check the silver top serial number. There were a few that had an issue with a pin or something on the crank. There is a service bulletin about it.
There was also a difference in the crank between the silver and blue top - in particular the crankpin on motors with serial number before 4,172.665 - which are mainly silver top 582s.

There was a service bulletin which covered the replacement of cranks in many of the silver tops with a new version as contained in Service Bulletin 7UL94 issued by Rotax.

Hi, yes they are serviceable, but I have never had any issues with mine.
Still even if you replace it, which is not necessary, it will be alot cheaper and easier than buying an engine you are unsure of that might need a redo or replacing...

My 2 cents as far as I know you get specific fuel hoses for fuel containing 2 stroke please correct me if I am wrong?
